What you'll do
- Strategic Planning: Formulate and execute strategic plans to drive business growth and expand market presence.
- Opportunity Identification: Discover and pursue new business opportunities and strategic partnerships within the logistics sector.
- Client and Stakeholder Relations: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders to enhance business partnerships.
- Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of market trends and competitor activities to inform and refine business strategies.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of business development professionals to achieve targets and foster a high-performance culture.
- Internal Collaboration: Partner with internal teams to ensure the effective delivery of services and operational success.
- Reporting and Presentation: Prepare and present detailed proposals, comprehensive reports, and accurate forecasts to senior management.
- Parcel Volume Growth: Develop strategies to attract new clients and secure parcel volumes, contributing to the company's growth and revenue.
- Additional Tasks: Undertake other duties as assigned to support the overall success of our business and adapt to evolving company needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in business development or sales within the logistics industry (specifically small parcel last mile delivery).
- Proven track record of achieving business growth and revenue targets.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data and market trends to drive strategic decisions.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proficiency in Salesforce .
- Willingness to travel as required.
