Role Description

This role involves outside sales for Victaulic, focusing on building relationships and providing solutions for customers in the mechanical pipe joining industry.

  • Learn about Victaulic’s products and solutions to help customers complete projects on time and within budget.
  • Understand competitive methods of joining pipe, such as welding and flanging.
  • Integrate into local trade organizations and professional associations.
  • Develop a business plan with the Regional Sales Manager, including opportunity mapping and sales goals.
  • Execute all phases of project pursuit and management to secure purchase orders.
  • Build lasting relationships with mechanical contractors, engineers, and building/project owners.
  • Partner with Victaulic distributors and manage a balanced distribution network.
  • Educate customers on the value of utilizing Victaulic products.
  • Conduct tool demos and training on proper installation techniques.
  • Influence decision-makers to maximize sales potential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Previous sales experience selling “value added” products/services, preferably in commercial construction, PVF industry, or mechanical products.
  • Demonstrated achievements in sales and developing long-standing relationships.
  • Self-motivated and self-driven.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and resourcefulness.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Strong project management skills.

Requirements

  • Willingness to travel, including overnight travel in some territories.
  • Ability to work in adverse weather conditions.
  • Ability to handle equipment weighing up to 50+ pounds.
