Job Description
Role Description
This role involves outside sales for Victaulic, focusing on building relationships and providing solutions for customers in the mechanical pipe joining industry.
- Learn about Victaulic’s products and solutions to help customers complete projects on time and within budget.
- Understand competitive methods of joining pipe, such as welding and flanging.
- Integrate into local trade organizations and professional associations.
- Develop a business plan with the Regional Sales Manager, including opportunity mapping and sales goals.
- Execute all phases of project pursuit and management to secure purchase orders.
- Build lasting relationships with mechanical contractors, engineers, and building/project owners.
- Partner with Victaulic distributors and manage a balanced distribution network.
- Educate customers on the value of utilizing Victaulic products.
- Conduct tool demos and training on proper installation techniques.
- Influence decision-makers to maximize sales potential.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Previous sales experience selling “value added” products/services, preferably in commercial construction, PVF industry, or mechanical products.
- Demonstrated achievements in sales and developing long-standing relationships.
- Self-motivated and self-driven.
- Strong problem-solving skills and resourcefulness.
- Excellent organization and time management skills.
- Strong project management skills.
Requirements
- Willingness to travel, including overnight travel in some territories.
- Ability to work in adverse weather conditions.
- Ability to handle equipment weighing up to 50+ pounds.
