Summary:
The Sr Analyst, Compliance plays a pivotal role in supporting the company’s compliance program by monitoring, reviewing, and testing business practices, products, and technology solutions. This position ensures adherence to mortgage lending laws, consumer protection standards, and data privacy regulations. The role is essential in mitigating regulatory, operational, and reputational risks while enabling innovative fintech solutions in the mortgage industry.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Regulatory Compliance:
Research, interpret, and apply federal and state mortgage, lending, and consumer protection regulations (e.g., CFPB, TILA, RESPA, ECOA, FCRA, GLBA, UDAAP).
Ensure products, services, and processes comply with applicable investor and agency guidelines (e.g., FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, USDA, Banks)
Monitor changes in regulatory and investor guidelines.
Support internal and external regulatory examinations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with product and engineering teams to embed compliance into platform features and workflows.
Collaborate with third-party vendors to ensure compliance is integrated into external solutions.
Monitoring & Testing:
Conduct compliance reviews of business processes, system workflows, and third-party integrations.
Assist with risk assessments and control testing; document findings and recommend corrective actions.
Policy & Procedure Support:
Assist in drafting, maintaining, and communicating compliance policies and procedures.
Provide guidance to business, operations, and technology teams on compliance requirements.
Data Privacy & Security:
Monitor compliance with data handling, retention, and privacy regulations (e.g., CCPA, GLBA, state privacy laws).
Work with engineering and product teams to identify and mitigate risks related to consumer PII/NPPI use.
Issue Management & Reporting:
Track, escalate, and support remediation of identified compliance issues.
Assist in preparing reports for management, regulators, and auditors

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree from a Four (4) year College or University.
8+ years of experience in mortgage compliance, audit, risk management, or operations required.
Strong knowledge of mortgage regulations and consumer protection laws.
Familiarity with fintech products, SaaS platforms, or financial technology solutions a plus.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Proven ability to work cross-functionally with legal, product, engineering, and operations teams.
