Role Description

The Information / Cybersecurity Specialist 3 provides senior-level cybersecurity support for mission systems and enterprise environments. This role supports implementation of cybersecurity controls, security assessments, and integration of cybersecurity practices into system development and operations.

• Implement and evaluate cybersecurity controls supporting system security requirements.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, security analysis, and risk mitigation activities.
• Support development and implementation of system security architecture.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate cybersecurity practices into system development and deployment pipelines.
• Review system configurations and technical implementations to ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies and standards.
• Provide guidance on cybersecurity best practices and security control implementation.
• Support development and maintenance of security documentation and accreditation artifacts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 8–12 years of relevant cybersecurity or information assurance experience.
• Experience implementing cybersecurity practices within complex systems or enterprise environments.
• Experience supporting system security assessments and security control implementation.

Requirements

• Experience with one or more of the following technologies or areas:
• Cloud security architecture (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Container and Kubernetes security
• DevSecOps security practices
• Security monitoring and vulnerability management tools
• Linux system administration
• Network security and system hardening
• Security automation or scripting

Highly Desired Expertise

• Cloud-native security architecture
• Event-driven architecture security
• Secure software development practices
• Security monitoring and observability tools
• Agile software development environments

Certifications

• The following certifications may be required depending on the assigned team:
• DoD Directive 8570 / 8140 compliant certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+) for Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II roles
• Certified ScrumMaster (Scrum Alliance)

Salary Range

Salary Range: $106,000.00 - $126,000.00 (Commensurate with experience)

Note: The above salary range is a guideline and represents a broad spectrum of potential compensation. We recognize that a candidate's unique experience and qualifications may justify compensation beyond this range. Therefore, we remain open to considering higher salary offers for exceptionally qualified candidates.
