Role Description
The Information / Cybersecurity Specialist 4 serves as a senior cybersecurity expert responsible for providing technical leadership in the design, implementation, and evaluation of cybersecurity solutions supporting mission systems and enterprise environments. This role provides cybersecurity expertise supporting secure system development, system security architecture, and risk management activities.
- Provide cybersecurity expertise supporting complex systems and enterprise environments.
- Support development and implementation of cybersecurity architectures and strategies.
- Lead system security assessments, risk analysis, and mitigation planning.
- Review system designs and implementations to ensure compliance with cybersecurity requirements.
- Provide guidance on cybersecurity best practices and security engineering approaches.
- Collaborate with program leadership and engineering teams to support secure system development and operations.
- Support development of security documentation and compliance artifacts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 12+ years of relevant cybersecurity or information assurance experience.
- Extensive experience applying cybersecurity principles to complex systems and enterprise environments.
- Demonstrated experience providing cybersecurity leadership or subject matter expertise.
Requirements
- Experience with one or more of the following technologies or areas:
- Cloud security architecture (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Kubernetes and container security
- DevSecOps and CI/CD security practices
- Security monitoring and threat detection tools
- Linux system administration
- Security automation and scripting
Highly Desired Expertise
- Cloud-native application security
- Event-driven architecture security
- Secure software development practices
- Microservice architecture security
- Security monitoring and observability platforms
Certifications
- The following certifications may be required depending on the assigned team:
- DoD Directive 8570 / 8140 compliant certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+) for Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II roles
- Certified ScrumMaster (Scrum Alliance)
Salary Range
Salary Range: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 (Commensurate with experience)
Note: The above salary range is a guideline and represents a broad spectrum of potential compensation. We recognize that a candidate's unique experience and qualifications may justify compensation beyond this range. Therefore, we remain open to considering higher salary offers for exceptionally qualified candidates.
