Role Description
This position functions as a player-coach, providing operational leadership to the recruiting team while actively managing requisitions and contributing directly to hiring outcomes. The Talent Acquisition Manager reports to a Director and supports the operational execution of the organization’s recruiting function.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Talent Acquisition Office (TAO)
- Manage a team of recruiters responsible for supporting the organization’s hiring needs
- Serve as the primary point of coordination between hiring managers and the recruiting team
- Ensure requisitions are prioritized appropriately and hiring processes are executed efficiently and compliantly
Responsibilities
- Partner with hiring managers to initiate, approve, and prioritize requisitions
- Review requisitions to ensure they are accurate, complete, and compliant with applicable employment laws and company policies
- Develop and maintain screening questions for requisitions that effectively evaluate candidates
- Supervise and coach Talent Acquisition Specialists, providing guidance on recruiting strategy, sourcing approaches, and candidate management
- Manage and prioritize active requisitions and direct the recruiting team’s daily workload
- Train new recruiters in recruiting processes, sourcing strategies, and company-specific practices
- Approve team timecards and PTO requests and support day-to-day personnel management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for hiring managers regarding recruiting activity, referrals, and candidate pipeline status
- Maintain an active requisition load and participate directly in sourcing, screening, and submitting candidates
- Monitor and maintain quality and accuracy of data, notes, and candidate records within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
- Track recruiting performance metrics including submittal volume, conversion ratios, and overall candidate quality
- Prepare quarterly reports on hiring activity, including number of candidate starts
- Monitor sourcing effectiveness and ensure recruiting resources are being used efficiently
- Monitor recruiting advertising and sourcing spend to ensure it remains within approved budget
- Provide input on compensation benchmarking and salary survey data
- Evaluate recruiting processes and workflows and provide recommendations for operational improvements
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience supporting recruiting in a government contracting environment
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple recruiting priorities
- Experience working within the iCIMS Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
Education
- A completed bachelor's degree is required
