Role Description
GovCIO is seeking a skilled Application Developer to join our team. You will be responsible for the full development lifecycle, from interpreting complex business requirements to deploying high-quality Java-based solutions. This role requires a blend of analytical thinking to understand large-scale system architectures and technical precision to maintain and enhance existing codebases.
- Understand the application to develop software by writing Java code
- Modify software to fix errors, adapt it to new hardware, improve its performance, or upgrade interfaces
- Gain a full understanding of the client’s financial application
- Analyze business requirements to best define and design application solutions
- Perform modifications to and maintenance of operational programs and procedures
- Perform unit testing of developed code/changes against the application
- Participate in code reviews to represent reviewed work for adherence to standards and specifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's (or commensurate experience) with 8+ years experience
