Role Description
The Media Relations Manager / Publicist will lead BaRupOn’s external media strategy and earned media visibility efforts. This role is responsible for positioning the company and its executives in top-tier business, energy, infrastructure, and investment media.
- Develop and execute media outreach strategies for corporate announcements, funding milestones, and major project launches
- Secure earned media placements in national, international, and trade outlets across energy, infrastructure, finance, and healthcare
- Build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, and industry analysts
- Draft press releases, executive quotes, interview briefs, and op-eds
- Manage inbound media inquiries and coordinate executive interviews
- Pitch story angles and thought leadership opportunities to relevant media outlets
- Monitor media coverage, track performance metrics, and prepare internal reporting summaries
- Collaborate with marketing and investor relations teams to ensure message alignment during capital raises
- Support speaking engagements, award submissions, and panel opportunities
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in media relations, public affairs, or public relations (agency or in-house)
- Strong writing and editing skills, with a portfolio of earned media placements
- Experience working with infrastructure, energy, finance, or healthcare clients
- Established media contacts in business, energy, or investment press preferred
- Ability to develop strategic narratives that resonate with public and institutional audiences
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work under tight deadlines

- Familiarity with sustainability, ESG, or public-private partnership (PPP) messaging
- Proficiency with media databases and monitoring tools (Meltwater, Muck Rack, Cision, etc.)
