Role Description

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President of Revenue Cycle with deep expertise in dental operations to lead and optimize our end-to-end revenue cycle functions. This executive will be responsible for driving financial performance, strengthening reimbursement processes, improving collections, and ensuring compliance across all dental locations.

  • Oversee the full dental revenue cycle including eligibility, treatment planning, insurance verification, coding, billing, claims submission, payment posting, A/R management, and collections.
  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives to increase net collections, reduce denials, and improve cash flow.
  • Establish KPIs and dashboards to monitor performance, identify trends, and drive accountability.
  • Standardize revenue cycle processes across all practices to ensure consistency and scalability.
  • Partner with Operations and Clinical leadership to optimize case acceptance, treatment planning accuracy, and front-office workflows.
  • Implement best practices to reduce aging A/R and improve first-pass claim acceptance rates.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop revenue cycle, billing, and centralized support teams.
  • Build high-performing teams with clear performance expectations and accountability measures.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
  • Ensure compliance with dental billing regulations, payer contracts, Medicaid, and commercial insurance requirements.
  • Oversee internal audits and ensure proper documentation and coding accuracy.
  • Mitigate financial risk through proactive monitoring and process controls.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, Credentialing, IT, and Operations teams to align revenue cycle strategy with company growth objectives.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and revenue modeling efforts.
  • Participate in executive planning, expansion strategy, and acquisition integration (if applicable).

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7–10+ years of progressive leadership experience in revenue cycle management within the dental industry (required)
  • Multi-site dental or DSO experience strongly preferred
  • Deep knowledge of dental coding, payer guidelines, Medicaid, PPOs, and insurance reimbursement models
  • Proven track record of improving collections, reducing A/R, and increasing operational efficiency
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using revenue reporting tools and KPIs
  • Executive-level communication and leadership skills
  • Bachelor’s degree required in Healthcare Administration, Business, Accounting, Finance or related field

Requirements

  • This is a remote position and we are seeking candidates in the Pacific and Mountain time zones.
  • Pay Range: $120,000-$150,000/year (Based on experience)
