Role Description
We are seeking a detail oriented Accountant to join our Consulting Finance team. Reporting to the Financial Controller Consulting, this role provides an excellent opportunity to develop both commercial and technical accounting capabilities while partnering closely with the wider business.
You will play an important role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting while supporting key month end processes, reconciliations, and financial analysis. The successful candidate will be curious about the commercial drivers behind the numbers and committed to continuous improvement across finance processes and reporting.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial and management reports and accounting files
- Ensure financial reporting is complete, accurate, and delivered on time in accordance with the Group Finance Manual
- Support month end activities including reconciliations and reporting
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies
- Reconcile and post payroll entries and staff benefit costs
- Partner with Finance Business Partnering teams to support business performance and financial understanding
- Develop and enhance management reporting to improve financial insight
- Review and recommend improvements to internal processes and controls
- Support internal audit activities including testing the effectiveness of key financial controls
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support across the finance team as required
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent professional experience
- Approximately 3 or more years of experience in financial reconciliation, analysis, and management reporting
- Strong understanding of accounting principles including IFRS
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong overall systems capability
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw meaningful conclusions
- Experience preparing financial models and supporting financial reporting
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with both finance and non finance stakeholders
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- High attention to detail and commitment to delivering accurate work
- A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and process enhancement
- Professional accounting qualification such as CPA is preferred but not essential
