Sr. Product Manager, Model Development

Role

As a Senior Product Manager for SmarterDx, you will play a pivotal role in the strategy, development, and enhancement of SmarterDx’s product offerings. Your role involves deeply understanding both users and existing architecture and collaborating across teams (engineering, data engineering, data science, etc.) to maximize the velocity of solving important user problems, enhancing decision-making, and solving business challenges. You will work to understand how our products generate recommendations, and form hypotheses on ways we can meaningfully improve both our technical output and user workflows and overall experience, collaborating with our technology teams to test their validity.

 

In addition to providing value to our current clients, you will be expected to form a strategic vision for how our underlying Data Science and Machine Learning models can improve our broader product offerings, creating and maintaining a product roadmap to support future development.

What You’ll Do

  • Gain a deep understanding of the SmarterDx user and buyer market.
  • Prioritize and evaluate cutting edge research and experimentation against product and business goals.
  • Write, standardize, and maintain product and technical documentation and role-model strong project management practices.
  • Define, track, and report on key success metrics to measure product performance and adoption.
  • Develop a roadmap of product enhancements, features, and solutions to continue to innovate and evolve the product.
  • Identify opportunities to enable teams to move more quickly by understanding constraints and trade-offs
  • Lead cross functional team of engineers, data scientists, and designers through the product development lifecycle from inception to launch of new features. 
  • Communicate your strategic vision for the product to cross functional stakeholders, working closely with leadership to ensure alignment. 
  • Understand interactions and impact between multiple simultaneous experiments, discern outcomes, and decide the best strategic path forward. 
  • Own the building of the infrastructure that enables teams across the company to safely develop, evaluate, deploy, and scale machine learning models. 
  • This includes improving environment isolation, streamlining model deployment, enabling pre-deployment pipeline evaluation, and scaling shared training infrastructure for increasingly complex models.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of product management experience
  • Experience building tools and features that serve a single product and scale effectively to a full product suite
  • Ability to translate highly technical work and requirements into business goals and impact, and vice versa
  • Experience working at an early-stage company or similarly fast-paced environment
  • 2-3+ years of experience working within the healthtech space, ideally in RCM and/or B2B products
  • Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, data science, and other technical teams to drive product success.
  • Experience managing both external and internal (Customer Success, Implementations, etc.) stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of MLOps concepts (model registries, feature pipelines, evaluation frameworks)
  • Experience supporting internal platforms, coordinating across ML teams that depend on shared infrastructure
  • Ability to design scalable systems and shared infrastructure

Compensation

$180k to $205k base + benefits
