Refrigeration Technician – A High‑Growth Skilled Trade Opportunity

Join a team where your expertise keeps our stores running, our customers comfortable, and our business thriving. As a Refrigeration Technician with Circle K, you’ll play a critical role in maintaining and improving the systems that power one of the world’s most recognizable brands. This is an exciting opportunity to grow your technical skillset, take ownership of your craft, and be part of a company that invests in your future.

Essential Functions

In this role, you'll be the expert ensuring that our refrigeration and HVAC systems operate at peak performance every day. You will:

  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues with precision—both inside and outside system components.
  • Repair and replace system parts using your working knowledge of refrigeration and HVAC units.
  • Perform thorough inspections to identify potential issues before they become problems.
  • Use your welding and soldering skills for copper and steel tubing when needed.
  • Follow all safety, compliance, and code requirements across local, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Ensure parts availability and system readiness through organized maintenance planning.
  • Conduct proactive preventive maintenance, including regular cleaning and filter changes.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment that reflects Circle K’s high standards.
  • Collaborate closely with Circle K Supervisors and vendors to complete repairs efficiently.
  • Communicate clearly and document your work, ensuring seamless handoffs across teams.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends through ongoing training, workshops, and professional development.
  • Support overall team goals, including meeting financial and Key Result Area (KRA) targets.
  • Create a safe experience for both employees and customers by keeping all systems operating reliably.

Qualifications

We welcome a combination of experience and education that demonstrates your ability to excel. Ideally, candidates have:

  • 2+ years of refrigeration or HVAC service experience (preferred, but not required for the right talent).
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of HVAC/R system components and repair techniques.
  • Ability to weld and solder as needed.
  • Commitment to safety, professionalism, and craftsmanship.
