Reporting

This position will report to our Principal Product Manager.

Summary of Role

This is a technical data PM role on the Platform Product team. This is a great opportunity to build a new product line while getting industry expertise from the core business. You’ll lead a team delivering new data products and an AI-first platform. This is a hands-on role that requires fluency with data, experience building enterprise-grade APIs, and strategic ownership of how the product grows to unlock new customers and use cases. We’re looking for a PM that has the technical depth and vision to scale an AI-first platform, defining and implementing evaluations, and building effective HITL processes. You’ll join a cross functional team with deep energy data experience and partner with stakeholders who are passionate about clean energy.

Strategic & Tactical

  • Iterate and scale 0-1 platform products, data schema, and architecture.
  • Create intuitive tools to allow users to explore and interpret energy data and to enable effective HITL workflows.
  • Being highly detail-oriented will be critical as you synthesize fragmented consumer energy data and local context into insights that bring clarity to your team.
  • Define what great looks like for your teams, measure it, and continuously raise the quality bar for our models, workflows, and data.
  • Develop a deep understanding of what our customers, businesses, and tech teams need and be their advocate. For this role, you’ll need to learn the ins and outs of the residential energy market and the ecosystem of businesses that make up the industry.
  • Proactively communicate. Make sure your external customers and stakeholders are heard and have clear expectations of what you’re delivering.
  • Efficiently manage your team with a bias for action. You’ll implement/run processes that help your team deliver quality at speed.
  • Lead prioritization and planning efforts. You’ll craft OKRs, a roadmap, and determine what your teams do (and don’t do).

Qualifications

  • 5-8 years of product management experience, working with AI systems, data platforms, or ML teams.
  • You’ve implemented agentic AI systems and understand how to evaluate nondeterministic products.
  • You have built full stack products and know how to best leverage AI prototyping and coding tools to learn faster.
  • Best idea wins mentality - you foster debate and drive your team to focus on the most impactful outcomes.
  • Data fluency - quantitative rigor and logic are foundational to how you work. You regularly use SQL et al. to inform your decisions and measure success. You have built algorithm-based products.
  • Strong writing and communication skills - you write clear, persuasive PRDs, vision docs, and detailed execution plans. You keep stakeholders bought in and influence senior stakeholders
  • Scalability & Performance Optimization - experience in identifying, measuring, and addressing performance bottlenecks in data systems and designing scalable platforms.
  • Growth mindset with a bias toward action, experimentation, and continuous improvement.
