Job Description
The Redesign Group is a global technology solutions consulting firm helping organizations modernize, secure, and scale mission-critical IT infrastructure. We are expanding our Architecture practice and seeking a Senior Network Solutions Architect to lead enterprise pre-sales engagements focused on data center modernization, secure networking, and hybrid cloud integration.
This role is designed for a senior architect with deep on-premises infrastructure expertise — networking, compute, storage, and security — who can bridge traditional enterprise environments with modern hybrid and cloud-connected architectures. You will partner with Sales, Engineering, and OEM teams to design scalable, secure, and resilient solutions that modernize core infrastructure while enabling long-term cloud and automation strategies.
What You’ll Do
Lead Enterprise Architecture Strategy
- Own technical discovery from initial assessment through solution design and transition to delivery.
- Translate business objectives into practical infrastructure architecture strategies.
- Develop modernization roadmaps aligned to operational maturity and cloud integration goals.
Architect Modern Data Center Networks
- Design and validate EVPN/VXLAN spine-leaf architectures and application-centric networking models.
- Architect enterprise routing and switching solutions using MPLS, MP-BGP, OSPF, ISIS, L3VPN/L2VPN.
- Define high-availability, multi-site, and disaster-resilient network designs.
- Guide lifecycle planning including upgrades, migration sequencing, and failure domain modeling.
Drive Secure Networking and Segmentation
- Architect firewall integration, segmentation strategy, and policy enforcement across data center, WAN, campus, and cloud.
- Design SD-WAN and secure access architectures aligned with Zero Trust and SASE frameworks.
- Integrate security telemetry and operational visibility into network designs.
Modernize Hybrid Infrastructure
- Design solutions spanning virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix) and software-defined networking and storage.
- Architect connectivity between on-premises environments and public cloud providers.
- Align compute, storage, backup, and disaster recovery strategies with network architecture.
Support Complex Pre-Sales Engagements
- Lead architecture workshops and technical deep dives with enterprise engineering teams.
- Support RFP/RFI responses and contribute to scopes of work and implementation strategies.
- Produce detailed HLD/LLD documentation, architecture diagrams, and BOM-level designs.
- Ensure clean transition from pre-sales architecture to delivery teams.
Core Focus Areas
- On-Prem Data Center Modernization
- Hybrid and Multi-Cloud Connectivity
- Software-Defined Networking (ACI, EVPN/VXLAN, SD-WAN)
- Enterprise Routing & WAN Architecture
- Firewall & Segmentation Strategy
- Virtualization & Hypervisor Integration
- Backup, Disaster Recovery, and Business Continuity
- Infrastructure Automation & Orchestration
What Success Looks Like
- You are recognized as a senior architectural authority across enterprise engagements.
- Your designs are technically rigorous, operationally viable, and aligned to modernization strategy.
- You influence complex deal strategy through technical credibility and clarity.
- Your documentation and design standards elevate Redesign’s technical execution.
Required Technical Background
- 10+ years of progressive enterprise infrastructure and networking experience.
- Deep expertise in enterprise routing and switching (MPLS, MP-BGP, OSPF, ISIS, L3VPN/L2VPN).
- Strong background in modern data center networking (EVPN/VXLAN, spine-leaf architectures, application-centric models).
- Hands-on experience with Cisco platforms and secure networking technologies including Palo Alto and/or Fortinet.
- Experience designing enterprise-grade WAN and service provider connectivity architectures.
- Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix or similar).
- Experience integrating on-premises environments with public cloud platforms.
- Strong understanding of high availability, disaster recovery, and multi-site resiliency design.
- Ability to produce detailed architecture diagrams and implementation-ready documentation.
Preferred Certifications
Security & Networking Vendors
- Palo Alto Networks (PCNSE or equivalent)
