Job Description
Role Description
The regulatory team at Trustwell proactively monitors the regulatory landscape to ensure the compliance of Trustwell’s software offerings. In this role, you’ll serve as a company subject matter expert for labeling and nutrition regulations for the U.S., Canada, Mexico, European Union, Australia/New Zealand, and any other new emerging markets with special expertise in dietary supplement and natural products labeling. You will also assist as needed in initiatives like customer and internal team training, marketing campaigns, and other endeavors that support the Regulatory Team Manager.
- Serving as a company expert for U.S. regulations for dietary supplements, natural products and food labeling.
- Additional expertise in Canada, Mexico, European Union, Australia/New Zealand, and new emerging markets labeling and nutrition regulations.
- Tracking current/potential regulations and managing informational updates in summary tools.
- Aligning with product development discovery and validation efforts to identify new or improved product opportunities for the Trustwell platform.
- Converting detailed regulatory terminology into actionable language for product development story implementation.
- Supporting engineering and QA with validation and continual auditing of Trustwell products to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Growing a network of industry and government experts to stay abreast of regulations on a global basis.
- Assisting as needed with company initiatives including regulatory review, collateral development, and employee and customer education.
- Producing on-time project deliverables to ensure project deadlines are met.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Food Science, Nutrition, or a related field; required.
- Extensive, working knowledge of FDA, DSHEA, and FTC requirements for dietary supplements, natural products and food and international food labeling regulations.
- 5+ years of experience in dietary supplement regulatory affairs, labeling compliance, quality, product development or related role.

- Strategic thinking with the ability to translate regulatory requirements for vastly different initiatives.
- Optimal communication skills to educate both internal and external stakeholders with complicated regulations.
- Championing product compliance and brand integrity.
- Strong organizational skills: the ability to juggle multiple tasks and responsibilities and follow through on project implementation and management.
- Proficiency with Genesis Foods or other similar software.
