Role Description

As a Strategy & Operations Payer Senior Consultant, you will forge a career in the healthcare industry in a collaborative, supportive, and inclusive environment. You’ll be a vital member of a team passionate about improving healthcare.

• Interact one-on-one with all levels of healthcare and consulting professionals
• Work 100% on client engagements with a strong background in health plan data
• Utilize technical expertise in SQL, Python, and/or ETL processes
• Uncover insights from complex datasets and develop impactful data solutions
• Support strategic decision-making across healthcare payer organizations
• Undergo an intensive period of learning while supporting engagements
• Demonstrate learning and skill development within a short period
• Self-learning and initiative are essential characteristics for success

Qualifications

• Experienced consultant in the healthcare environment with a proven track record of solving complex problems
• 4 - 6 years of hands-on experience with SQL for querying and data manipulation
• Proficient in Python for data analysis and model development
• Experience in ETL processes and working with data warehousing solutions
• Designer and executor of data analytics, conceiving new data analysis methods
• Understanding of data architecture mapping diagrams and analysis to generate recommendations
• Understanding of constructing and evaluating business process workflows
• Ability to consume and translate business requirements into functional technical requirements
• Experience working with mainframe data extraction is mandatory
• Demonstrated expertise in the health plan or adjacent industry is mandatory
• Understanding of multiple business functions and areas within a health plan
• Ability to speak about healthcare issues and topics with competence and confidence
• Able to create presentations for all health plan operations and strategy improvements
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities with a high level of organization and attention to detail
• Focused on customer success through developing trusting relationships
• Collaborative leader who can identify opportunities for improvement
• Prioritizes personal and professional development
• Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
• Able to travel according to client needs
• Authorized to work in the US

Benefits

• Salary range of $95,000 to $135,000
• Eligible for an annual discretionary bonus
• Additional benefits and perks may also be available, depending on the position and employment terms
