Role Description

We’re looking for a Senior Manager, Scientific Publications on the Scientific Communications & Publications team to help us expand what’s possible for patients with serious diseases. Reporting to the Senior Director, Scientific Publications, you’ll contribute to the global publication strategy as a member of the cross-function publication planning team and support the development, implementation, and execution of Global Publication Plans.

  • Management and tracking of publications
  • Ensuring the publication management platform is up to date and audit ready
  • Providing direction to publication agencies
  • Conducting literature searches
  • Recommending congresses and journals to the publication lead and authors
  • Leading the encore plan to extend the reach of publications
  • Working closely with the cross-functional data generation team (Medical Affairs, HEOR, Biometrics, Clinical Development)
  • Engaging with medical experts and authors
  • Promoting good publication practices and ensuring compliance with publication-related policies and procedures

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a scientific discipline
  • 2+ years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotech industry or medical communications agency, primarily in Medical Affairs

Requirements

  • Publications project management experience
  • Expert knowledge of relevant guidance including, but not limited to International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA) guidelines, CME Open Payments reporting, Good Publication Practice (GPP4)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within collaborative and cross-functional teams
  • Ability to manage external vendors and provide clear, concise direction
  • Must successfully exhibit Insmed’s five (5) core corporate competencies of: Collaboration, Accountability, Passion, Respect and Authority
  • Individuals must demonstrate the ability to interact successfully in a dynamic and culturally diverse workplace
