Role Description

Join our dynamic team at CSU Global as a Course Instructor and Content Expert for our NEW Medical Billing & Coding Certificate launching this year! Under the guidance of the Provost, Program Manager & Faculty Operations Specialist, you will ensure the seamless delivery of courses in alignment with University, accreditation, and state standards, contributing to CSU Global's mission and programs. Your responsibilities include:

  • Conducting 8 week online courses through our learning management system
  • Engaging actively with students
  • Providing feedback
  • Supporting retention efforts

Qualifications

  • Master's degree (or higher) in Health Information Management and/or Healthcare Administration
  • 18 graduate credit hours in Health Information Management and/or Healthcare Administration
  • At least two years of working experience in medical billing and coding, revenue cycle management, or health information management within the previous 7 years
  • At least one year of online higher education teaching experience
  • A minimum of one of the following certifications:
    • Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or CCS-Physician-based (CCS-P) from AHIMA
    • Certified Professional Coder (CPC) from AAPC
    • Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT)
  • Experience creating course content is strongly preferred as course development is required within this role.

  • CSU Global courses are 8 weeks in length
  • Course appointments are awarded on a term to term basis and are based on University enrollment
  • Employment is considered part time/temporary
  • Background checks are required of all appointed candidates
  • Appointed candidates will be required to submit official transcripts prior to start date
  • Applicants who advance through the hiring process will participate in a pre-recorded video interview, live video interview, followed by a 3-week unpaid FCC100 training course
