Role Description

The Principal Data Operations Analyst is a senior individual contributor who serves as the authoritative expert on healthcare data integration, payer data structures, and operational analytics at OncoHealth. This role owns the most complex client data integrations end-to-end and sets standards for how data is onboarded, validated, and operationalized across the organization. This position is highly client-facing and requires the ability to translate ambiguous business and clinical requirements into scalable data solutions. The Principal Analyst partners closely with Product, Engineering, Clinical, Analytics, and Client Success teams to ensure data quality, reliability, and usability across operational and analytical use cases.

  • Serve as the senior data subject matter expert on complex or high-risk client implementations, renewals, and data migrations.
  • Partner with Engineering and Product to influence data models and integration patterns.
  • Establish and enforce data quality standards and monitoring practices.
  • Explain data nuances and limitations to support decision-making.
  • Set standards for documentation and data intake.
  • Lead detailed discovery sessions for eligibility, provider, network, authorization, & utilization data.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in data science, Information Systems, Public Health, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in healthcare data operations, data integration, or analytics.
  • Significant experience with payer eligibility, provider, and claims-related data.
  • Proven experience owning complex, client-facing data integrations.
  • Advanced SQL and strong analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with APIs, SFTP, and X12 transactions (834 required).
  • Experience with MS SQL Server, Databricks, Azure, and Power BI.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence without authority.
