Job Description

Leidos’ Defense Sector is seeking a Senior Program Analyst to be a key contributor to high-impact national security efforts supporting the planning, execution, and oversight of complex, large-scale programs across the defense and intelligence domains. In this role, you will help guide the development and integration of advanced software enabled capabilities across diverse operational environments.

At Leidos, you'll join a team of innovators tackling some of the world's most critical challenges through cutting-edge technology and bold ideas. We foster a dynamic and collaborative environment where your expertise will directly contribute to mission success, and the significance of your contributions will only be surpassed by the exceptional opportunities for your professional growth and advancement.

This position is contingent upon program award, anticipated late March.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and maintenance of the program's Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), performing critical path analysis, schedule risk assessments, and variance analysis.
  • Drive the program's risk and opportunity management process, from identification and analysis through mitigation and capture planning.
  • Facilitate Risk Management Boards (RMBs) and other key program meetings, presenting complex analysis and providing strategic recommendations to program leadership.
  • Develop and deliver high-quality program status reports, performance metrics, and executive-level briefings for both internal and government stakeholders.
  • Manage the program's baseline change control process, ensuring any changes to scope, schedule, or budget are properly documented and approved.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for program control matters, interfacing directly with government counterparts, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Mentor and provide coaching to junior program analysts, reviewing their work and fostering their development in program control disciplines.
  • Ensure timely and compliant submission of all Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs) related to program schedule, cost, and performance.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of prior relevant experience OR a Master’s degree with 6+ years of experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI.
  • Full understanding of program management and control principles, including scheduling, risk management, and performance analysis within a government contracting environment.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to influence team members and present complex information clearly.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar project/program management certification.
  • Experience supporting large, complex government or defense programs, particularly those involving software development and system integration.
  • Understanding of operational concepts and technologies that support situational awareness, decision-making, and mission execution in complex environments.
  • Experience applying Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and preparing performance and status reports.
  • Familiarity with government contracting environments and common contract vehicles.
  • Proficiency with collaboration and project management tools such as SharePoint, Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms.
