Job Description

• Prepares the tax provision analysis and calculation of the related deferred taxes on a quarterly basis • Prepares the quarterly income tax projections and determination of federal and state estimated income tax payments • Prepares the federal and state income tax returns relating to system affiliates and ensures the timely filing of all tax forms • Partners with the management of real estate and personal property taxes system-wide • Assists with review of PILOT agreements and completion of biennial tax exemption reports system-wide • Performs tax research and analysis • Prepares tax and AMT calculations for depreciation • Serves as a key resource for all sales and use tax compliance system-wide • Monitors updates to IRS rules and regulations and assists with evaluation of impact to the organization • Coordinates federal and state audits, including income tax and sales and use tax audits

Job Requirements

  • Typically requires 5 years of experience in corporate tax or public accounting
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) issued by a State Board of Accountancy needs to be obtained within 1 year
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
  • Strong working knowledge and understanding of income tax compliance, including FIN 48
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or similar products
  • Knowledge of CCH ProSystems desired
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a changing environment and manage multiple projects with short deadlines
