Job Description

• Lead and review the global monthly close and consolidation process including preparation and/or review of journal entries, reconciliations and month end reporting. • Assist with the development and implementation of accounting best practices. Lead the initiation to improve the internal control environment and financial quality. • Develop and mentor an accounting team of two, based in Europe, as well as assist in managing the General Ledger Business Process Outsourcing team based in India. • Collaborate with business partners to improve the efficiency of existing processes and accuracy of financial information at the product level. • Assist in managing relationships with local advisory teams on compliance audits and topics (tax, audit, other reporting).

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years progressively advancing experience. Past experience in a global organization required.
  • 3+ years of management experience.
  • Experience with multiple levels of consolidation and intercompany transactions including a strong understanding of foreign currency revaluation and cumulative translation adjustment requirements.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills. Netsuite experience is a plus.
  • Sound knowledge of US GAAP; knowledge of European accounting rules is a plus.
  • BA/BS and/or masters degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience.
  • Highly organized and a clear communicator.
  • Process oriented and desire to identify and implement continuous improvement.
