Role Description
The Manager of Project Management leads Visante’s Project Management Office (PMO) and is responsible for ensuring consistent, disciplined, and high-quality execution across complex consulting engagements and long-term managed services programs. This role serves as a people leader, steward of execution, and expert resource on best practices in Project Management and change management to the organization.
- Establishes, maintains, and continuously improves project management standards, tools, templates, and governance to ensure consistent execution across engagements.
- Oversees project execution across the portfolio, ensuring risks are identified early, addressed proactively, and escalated appropriately.
- Directly manages and coaches a diverse team of Project Managers, fostering accountability, professional growth, and delivery excellence.
- Leads select projects (~10% of time) to validate PMO processes, model best practices, and maintain strong practical delivery skills.
- Serves as an escalation point for Project Managers; partners with Project Owners and Executive Sponsors to replan work or identify creative ways to meet client needs.
- Owns PM staffing decisions, balancing skills, capacity, utilization, and development needs across consulting and managed services engagements.
- Works closely with Client Success leadership to align delivery execution with client expectations, engagement strategy, and long-term relationship goals.
- Defines and monitors key delivery metrics; provides clear, actionable insights to leadership on project health and PMO performance.
- Uses qualitative and quantitative insights to identify systemic issues and drive continuous improvement across delivery practices.
- Influences strong client outcomes by enabling reliable execution, supporting satisfaction, retention, and renewal through disciplined delivery practices.
- Shares lessons learned and best practices to promote continuous improvement across the PMO.
- Monitors PMO and corporate project financial performance to ensure financial accountability and transparency.
- Guides Visante through change by fostering adaptability and supporting successful adoption of new processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
- Advanced coursework or training in project, program, or operations management (preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in project management, program management, or delivery leadership
- Prior experience managing and developing project managers in a consulting, professional services, or managed services environment
- Experience supporting both fixed-scope consulting engagements and long-term managed services programs (preferred)
- Experience in healthcare or pharmacy services industries (preferred)
- PMP, PgMP, Agile certification, or equivalent (preferred)

- Deep understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and delivery controls
- Ability to influence without direct authority and constructively push back when needed
- Sound judgment in balancing delivery rigor with real-world execution constraints

- Financial acumen to partner with Visante finance and project accounting
