Summary: The Employee Relations Specialist serves as a resource for day-to-day employee relations matters
across assigned Pyramid Healthcare facilities. This role provides guidance, coaching, and support to supervisors
and managers on routine workplace concerns at the verbal and written warning level, including attendance issues,
minor conduct concerns, policy clarifications, and interpersonal conflicts.
The Employee Relations Specialist ensures the fair, consistent, and timely application of company policies and
progressive discipline procedures while fostering a positive, supportive work environment aligned with our mission of
helping individuals and families reclaim lives affected by addiction and behavioral health challenges.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve as the point of contact for managers and supervisors seeking guidance on routine employee
relations matters, including attendance and punctuality issues, minor workplace conduct concerns,
interpersonal conflicts, and first-time or low-level policy infractions.
Coach and advise managers through progressive discipline steps ensuring documentation is thorough,
consistent, and aligned with Pyramid Healthcare policies
Assist managers in drafting clear, objective, and legally sound corrective action documentation,
performance coaching memos, and attendance records.
Provide guidance to managers and employees on the interpretation and application of Pyramid
Healthcare's HR policies, and standard operating procedures.
Ensure uniform and equitable application of workplace policies across assigned facilities
through regular audits, trend monitoring, and manager education.
Conduct initial intake and triage of employee relations concerns to determine severity and appropriate
handling level; Identify and promptly escalate complex employee issues, allegations of serious
misconduct, or cases requiring formal investigation to the HR Manager/HRBP.
Prepare thorough case intake summaries, including relevant facts, witness information, and supporting
documentation, for seamless handoff to the HR Manager/HRBP, Employee Relations when escalation
is warranted.
Maintain accurate, timely, and complete case files for all employee relations matters in the designated
case management system, from intake through resolution and closure.
Track and analyze employee relations data and trends (e.g., types and frequency
of corrective actions, attendance patterns, turnover indicators) for assigned facilities and prepare periodic
reports for the HR Manager, Employee Relations.
Collaborate with HR colleagues on special projects, policy updates, and process improvements.
Completion of all required trainings as designated by the company and accreditation/licensing entities.
Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
Education, Licensure, & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree required
High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum of one (1) year experience focusing on foundational employee relations or generalist duties
preferred.
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
Understanding of basic HR policies and general employment practices.

Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service mindset
A working knowledge of local, state and federal standards as well as regulating body standards.
Comfort navigating multiple systems, databases, and manual trackers simultaneously.
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional and remote teams
while, exercising sound judgment and escalating issues appropriately. Demonstrated ability to
manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a high-volume, detail-oriented environment.
High level of discretion and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee is
regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is
occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, twist, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/ or
move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision,
peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet & indoors. This position may require local travel
to facilities.
