Job Description
Role Description
We are seeking a Fraud Analyst to join our growing Risk team. You will be responsible for monitoring and investigating potential or confirmed fraud cases, identifying fraud patterns, and sharing findings with other risk team members and partners to safeguard our portfolio and protect the integrity of our products.
- Monitor existing fraud reports to detect and alert other risk team members to prevent massive fraud attacks.
- Perform daily fraud monitoring of application activity, consumer payment behaviors, and chargebacks, reporting results of daily, weekly, and monthly reviews.
- Investigate high-risk cases and provide daily updates to the manager and stakeholders, including coverage during weekends and holidays as needed.
- Take prompt action to prevent and mitigate fraud losses, including placing contracts on hold or cancellation, verifying supporting documentation, auditing invoices, and conducting follow-up calls with customers and merchants.
- Conduct audits to ensure that all merchant and customer procedures are being followed, document audit findings, and notify management of significant issues.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on fraud decision performance, impact, and quality; document best practices and lessons learned to support continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- You are comfortable working in a remote environment with reliable internet access.
- You hold a STEM degree and have proven business reporting & analysis experience.
- You are self-driven with a strong sense of urgency, responsibility, and ownership.
- You demonstrate the ability to meet all deadlines while maintaining productivity, quality, and department adherence standards.
- You possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with partners to drive business forward.
- You are proficient in using Microsoft Office software products including Excel and Word; proficiency with SQL is a plus.
- You are fluent in both English and Spanish.
- You have knowledge of US consumer behavior/US retail market (a plus).
- You have knowledge of US financial services/consumer lending business (a plus).

- Base Salary: Earn a competitive salary between $20,000-$28,000
