Job Description
Role Description
The Director for Business & Account Development, West, will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing strategic partnerships, and expanding our EPC partner base.
- Leads business development efforts for Palmetto Finance residential solar business in the West region
- Manages a team of Relationship Managers who support EPCs in the West region
- Provides training, mentorship, and coaching to Relationship Managers, fostering a high performance culture with clear expectations, accountability, and continuous development
- Focuses on account development on the Palmetto Finance platform
- Identifies opportunities, builds relationships, and executes objectives to achieve our business objectives
- Delivers new ideas, segments, and thought leadership to discuss other opportunities to expand the platform
- Keeps informed on industry trends, regulations, technological advancements, and conducts market research and intelligence to identify opportunities for growth
- Collaborates with internal teams, including Technology, Finance, Revenue, and Operations, to ensure successful implementation and delivery of solar solutions to external customers
- Works in close partnership with the VP of Operations, Manager Account Operations, Product Managers and Accounting to drive strategic initiatives and support EPC needs across the region
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA a plus
- 8-10+ years of demonstrated experience in a sales and business development role, with experience in the residential solar or renewable energy sector preferred
- Deep understanding of the residential solar industry and its market dynamics
- Ability to ideate, develop and execute strategic plans, in close collaboration with internal and external partners and stakeholders
- Highly motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced customer-centric environment where priorities may change quickly
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Ability to travel in region up to 50% of the time is required
