Job Description
• Provide leadership for the CDL Program
• Be responsible for curriculum development, revision and implementation
• Provide face to face product knowledge training to Admissions or student groups
• Engage with potential students and participate in new student orientation
• Hire, assign, orient, develop, evaluate and recognize instructors
• Convene meetings with faculty on a regular basis
• Monitor and support the student population within program of study
• Actively advise students and consult on academic progress
• Analyze student population data and contact students to provide support
• Collect data for analyzing program performance and improving curriculum
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Industry license in field of instruction if required by industry
- 3 years of experience in academic instruction in a post-secondary environment
- 5 years of commercial driving industry experience
- 5 years of experience in a management or supervisory role
- Excellent customer service skills
- 7 years of experience in academic instruction in a post-secondary environment (preferred)
- 10 years of experience in the field of commercial driving (preferred)
- Working knowledge of federal/state government education regulations (preferred)
- 7 years of experience in a management or supervisory role (preferred)
- Previous experience as an academic program director (preferred)
- Experience in student guidance, or related field (preferred)
- Working knowledge of federal/state government education regulations (preferred)
