Job Description
• Consumer Understanding: Research who our members are, their age groups, needs, pain points, and behaviors across marketing channels and geographies.
• Competitive & Market Intelligence: Support the monthly delivery of competitive insights by channel and country/geo group for the marketing team. Track and analyze competitor activity, consumer trends, and public feedback across platforms like Reddit, Trustpilot, YouTube, and TikTok.
• Global & Cultural Insights: Collaborate with international teams to surface region-specific user behaviors, cultural nuances, and marketing considerations across BetterHelp’s global markets.
• Reporting & Storytelling: Lead monthly and quarterly reporting on consumer and market insights, funnel performance, and emerging trends. Develop frameworks for monitoring brand perception and sentiment using social listening tools.
Job Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Psychology, Marketing, Statistics, Business, Economics, Data Science, Sociology, Communications, or a related field
- Coursework or project experience in research methods, consumer behavior, marketing, statistics, or data analysis
- Strong ability to synthesize findings into clear narratives and actionable insights
- Comfortable using data to validate ideas and inform decisions (experience with Excel, Google Sheets, and basic SQL is a plus)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills — able to convey insights to both technical and non-technical audiences
- A passion for understanding people, asking thoughtful questions, and turning feedback into strategic direction
