Compensation: $75,000– $88,000 base salary + quarterly bonus opportunities

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Senior Staff Accountant to join our internal Finance team.

This role plays a key part in maintaining the financial integrity of the company and supporting leadership with accurate, timely financial reporting.

The Opportunity

The Senior Staff Accountant will be responsible for maintaining the general ledger, supporting the month-end close process across multiple entities, managing revenue recognition and balance sheet reconciliations, and preparing financial reporting packages for leadership.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, building repeatable processes, and taking ownership of key accounting functions in a growing organization.

You will work closely with the Controller and CFO and have the opportunity to expand responsibilities as the company grows.

What You'll Do

Accounting & Financial Operations

• Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger
• Prepare and post journal entries
• Manage revenue recognition and deferred revenue schedules
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including:
• Bank accounts
• Investment accounts
• Prepaid schedules
• Deferred revenue schedules

Month-End Close

• Prepare month-end close workpapers
• Support the close process across three operating entities
• Generate draft financial statements for Controller review

Weekly Finance Operations

• Perform daily banking updates
• Prepare weekly cash flow forecasts and modeling
• Monitor vendor balances and support accounts payable accuracy

Internal Reporting

• Support internal stakeholders with interim financial reporting
• Provide expense and profitability reporting to department leaders
• Assist leadership with financial insights and reporting needs

Compliance

• Assist with sales tax reporting and reconciliation using Avalara
• Maintain documentation supporting internal controls and audit readiness

Systems You'll Work With

Our finance and operations environment includes:

• QuickBooks Enterprise (Intuit Product Suite)
• Salesforce (SFDC)
• Microsoft 365 (Excel, Teams, SharePoint)
• Avalara
• Bill.com
• WooCommerce
• QuickBase

Experience with these platforms is helpful, but strong accounting fundamentals and systems adaptability are most important.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 4–7 years of accounting experience
• Experience supporting month-end close
• Strong balance sheet reconciliation experience
• Advanced Excel proficiency
• Experience working with ERP accounting systems
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a remote environment

Preferred:

• CPA or CPA-track
• Multi-entity accounting experience

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary Range
$75,000 – $88,000

This role is also eligible for participation in the company’s discretionary bonus program, which typically targets approximately 5–10% of base salary depending on company performance and individual contribution.

What Success Looks Like

Within the first 90 days, this role will:

• Take ownership of daily banking updates and weekly cash flow forecasting
• Assume responsibility for sales tax reporting under Controller guidance
• Successfully complete two month-end close cycles
• Build replicable close workpapers for each entity
• Produce financial management reporting packages for leadership review
