Role Description

We’re looking for a Data Science Engineer to join our Revenue Intelligence team at Veeam Software. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building scalable data solutions, and is passionate about driving business impact through analytics, machine learning, and AI.

  • Design and implement data science, ML, and AI solutions to support strategic decision-making.
  • Conduct deep-dive ad hoc analyses—both quantitative and qualitative—to inform business hypotheses and guide improvements.
  • Contribute to cross-functional projects involving data science, ML, and AI use cases.
  • Collaborate with Data Quality and Data Warehouse teams to reconcile data discrepancies and integrate new data sources.
  • Support data analysis needs for QBRs, Summits, and All Hands meetings.
  • Help develop and refine processes to ensure business solutions align with strategic goals.
  • Partner with stakeholders to deliver actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Continuously improve existing processes and identify opportunities for efficiency gains.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of professional experience as a data scientist or similar role.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required (a combination of education and experience will be considered).
  • English Advanced.
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL.
  • Experience building scalable data science solutions (feature engineering, model training/testing, evaluation, deployment, ML operations).
  • Familiarity with data engineering concepts (data modeling, ETL/ELT, pipelines, storage optimization, governance).
  • Understanding of software development practices (version control, APIs, testing, deployment).
  • Experience integrating LLMs into code (prompt engineering, RAG systems, MCP).
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, or equivalent).
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Technical writing experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks or PySpark.
  • Familiarity with project management tools (Jira, Trello, Confluence).
