Role Description

This Sr. Manager role is responsible for the design, implementation, optimization, ongoing operations, and production support of key Back-Office technology solutions that serve CAA business partners. This individual has overall responsibility for establishing, managing, and maintaining strategic relationships with internal business functional leaders and interacts with other teams within and across the IT organization, to ensure solution/service alignment with our company objectives, architecture, security, and strategy. In addition, this individual collaborates with business leaders, end-users, outside vendors, contractors, and consultants to define and deliver technical solutions and services.

  • Works with business leaders to prioritize and deliver new capabilities, system break/fixes, enhancements, and projects for back-office solutions at CAA, including Finance, HR, Legal, Compliance, and corporate systems.
  • Builds and maintains close partnerships with business leaders, IT leadership, and other stakeholders, contributing to define solution objectives, elicit and prioritize, change, plan, and architect project implementations, acquire and mobilize resources, assess service health and status, identify and manage risks and issues and communicate progress.
  • Defines and maintains a clear platform strategy and roadmap aligned with business needs across CAA’s back-office business domains.
  • Owns the end-to-end technical delivery lifecycle for back-office systems across design, configuration, customization, integrations, security, releases, upgrades, and operations.
  • Owns platform delivery for assigned systems across project and maintenance workstreams. Drives project delivery in accordance with the CAA PMO governance processes.
  • Develops, formalizes, and sustains relationships with strategic IT vendors and internal clients that support back-office systems.
  • Collaborates with functional leaders to prioritize enhancements that deliver the highest business value and operational efficiency.
  • Manages a team of full-time employees, partner resources, contractors, and consultants to achieve delivery goals.
  • Delivers results by embracing job expectations; planning, monitoring, and assessing solution results; coaching, counseling, and providing feedback to employees; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
  • Is able to effectively manage a distributed team (various time zones) of internal and external resources.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, engineering or IT related field or equivalent experience required.
  • A minimum of 12 years of professional experience in enterprise technology roles with 7 or more have been in the space of building/supporting Finance and HR.
  • At least 4 years of experience managing technical resources including FTEs, partners, and/or consulting resources.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise finance and HR processes and how they are supported by SaaS platforms.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience owning and operating Workday Financial Management and Workday HCM modules.
  • Experience integrating Finance and HR systems with other enterprise ERP systems such as CRM, Pricing, etc.
  • Proven track record of managing vendors and delivering through vendor-staffed teams (projects and managed services).
  • Workday experience is strongly preferred; Equivalent experience with other technologies (Oracle, SAP, Peoplesoft, etc.) will also be considered.
  • Strong knowledge of data governance and data stewardship best practices in Finance and HR.
  • Experience with AI-driven automation and operational efficiency improvement is a strong plus.
  • Experience with building and maintaining technical solutions for Legal, Compliance and Corporate functions is a strong plus.
