Role Description
Students Without Mothers is seeking an experienced Development professional to help grow sustainable funding that supports scholarships, college readiness, and emotional support for students who have lost their mothers.
- Fundraising Goal: $50K in Year 1, reaching $150K by Year 3
- In this flexible fractional role, you'll strengthen donor relationships, grow major gifts and corporate sponsorships, and build sustainable strategies that expand our impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement fundraising strategies to support annual revenue goals.
- Cultivate, solicit, and steward individual donors and corporate sponsors.
- Manage donor engagement activities, including outreach and stewardship follow‑ups.
- Identify new funding opportunities and strengthen the gift pipeline.
- Partner with leadership on long‑term development priorities.
- Track fundraising progress and maintain accurate donor records.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (Master's preferred).
- 3–5+ years of nonprofit fundraising or development experience.
- Proven success in securing major gifts or corporate sponsorships.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with donor management or CRM platforms.
- Excellent relationship‑building, project management, and organizational skills.
- A heart for mission‑driven work.
- Ability to work independently in a fractional, part‑time role.
Schedule & Commitment
- Approximately 20 hours per month
- Fully remote
- Flexible schedule
Compensation
- $2,000/month (fixed)
- Fractional/part‑time, not benefits‑eligible

The executive will be responsible for identifying and qualifying new business and cross-sell opportunities within assigned markets, leading the full enterprise sales cycle from prospecting to negotiation.
