Role Description
Alex + Ani is seeking a highly analytical, operationally minded leader with prior P&L ownership and a track record of turning insights into scalable, profitable revenue growth. This role will be responsible for owning the financial performance of our combined wholesale businesses: Amazon (USA, CA, and MEX), Marketplace, Boutiques, Specialty, and Big Box.
The role will require end-to-end executional oversight across all P&L levers:
- Marketing
- SEO optimization
- Conversion
- Inventory
- Pricing
- Promotions
- Fulfillment
In addition, this role will be a member of the executive leadership team, responsible for supporting additional cross-functional strategic initiatives and supporting the overall growth agenda for Alex + Ani’s next wave of growth.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a GM or senior operator role within an e-commerce or consumer brand.
- At least 2 years of experience working in a rigorous analytical environment, such as consulting or private equity.
- Demonstrated P&L ownership in a multi-channel retail or consumer business.
- Deep understanding of e-commerce growth levers: acquisition, conversion, retention, merchandising, pricing, and inventory.
- Highly analytical and data-driven, able to turn insights into actionable strategies.
- Skilled at operating at both strategic and cross-functional levels.
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence and align teams.
- Decisive, strategic, and comfortable navigating ambiguity.
- Strategic thinker who can balance long-term growth with near-term execution.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Requirements
- Set strategy, operating plans, and growth targets for assigned business units.
- Own end-to-end P&L responsibility, including revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, and profitability.
- Build and manage annual and quarterly forecasts; identify risks and opportunities and course-correct as needed.
- Establish clear KPIs, dashboards, and performance rhythms to drive accountability and execution.
- Hire, train, and coach a world-class team of top performers to lead the day-to-day needs of each business division.
- Serve as key lead on sales for new, high-potential relationships and drive negotiation to close signature accounts.
- Translate insights from experiments, data, and marketing ad performance into revenue-generating process improvements.
- Balance brand integrity with growth initiatives.
- Serve as a key thought partner to the CEO, aligning teams and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
