Role Description

We are seeking an exceptional Program Manager to be accountable for our existing Employee Resource Group (“ERG”) program at Instacart, and to help build an even more vibrant and impactful ERG community across our remote workforce.

  • Own, evolve, streamline, and maintain the operating rhythms necessary to support ERG programming.
  • Responsible for the application, election, and training of ERG leads, tracking and delivery of key projects that contribute to the ERG programs success.
  • Develop cross-functional processes/trackers/tools for events, communications, and key moments.
  • Enable and ensure great collaboration between ERGs across the company.
  • Set standards for collaboration and optimizing information flows for the program.
  • Systemize moving parts into a functioning program aligned to a single set of goals.
  • Make clear process documents and regularly iterate on processes.
  • Meet regularly with ERG leads and ERG members to communicate key priorities and align on progress.
  • Be an empathetic listener to concerns raised within communities.
  • Facilitate listening and understanding employee needs and sentiments.
  • Surface insights and employee experience themes to leadership.
  • Drive transparent and effective communication to business partners regarding program progress.

Qualifications

  • Experience in setting and executing progressive people and workplace strategies.
  • 5+ years proven experience in program management.
  • Experience creating and driving program processes for smooth execution.
  • Outstanding stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Exceptional emotional intelligence and judgment.
  • High attention to detail and ability to distill complex ideas.
  • Able to maintain order and calm in times of ambiguity.
  • Able to influence outcomes without reporting lines.
  • Have a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude.
  • See the glass half full and be pragmatically optimistic.

Requirements

  • Experience in HR and ERG program management (preferred).
  • Experience managing people, policies, and/or HR strategy (preferred).
  • Experience managing across a broad and varied client group (preferred).
