Role Description
This student internship is being offered as a part of EO's Ignite Internships program and is for high school students only.
This internship is offered in partnership with the Smyth County Public Schools and is open to SCPS students only. Students will be employed by SCPS and all hiring decisions will be made by SCPS personnel. SCPS has provided the following job description for this internship:
- Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office
- Support administrators and counselors through a variety of tasks
- Communicate with visitors and assist them in their needs
- Responsible for confidential and time sensitive materials
- Communicate effectively via phone and email
- Complete duties accurately with high quality and in a timely manner
- Report to the administrative person they are assisting
- Perform general office duties as directed by the school administration, guidance counselor, and administrative assistant
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Demonstrate a high level of responsibility and professionalism
- Perform work hours as assigned
- Exhibit general office skills
- Provide general support to visitors
- Dress business casual every day
- Demonstrate good communication skills
- Complete any other tasks as assigned by administrators, guidance counselor, or administration assistants
