Role Description
The Pricing Analyst Intern role is designed as the first step in Elephant’s Pricing career ladder. This is a learning-focused position where you will support analysts, gain exposure to real-world insurance pricing, and understand how data drives profitability and competitiveness.
This is a remote paid internship and part of our long-term talent pipeline, with potential to lead to full-time Analyst opportunities.
What You’ll Do
- Complete a short-term analytical project that directly benefits our Pricing team
- Assist in preparing documentation for regulatory filings and actuarial support materials
- Analyze data to identify trends and performance opportunities
- Gain exposure to the end-to-end pricing lifecycle from analysis to regulatory filing to implementation
- Present your internship project findings to team members and senior leadership
You will work with real business data and contribute to projects that directly impact pricing decisions.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Actuarial Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related quantitative field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Intellectual curiosity and enthusiasm for working with data
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Exposure to SQL, R, or Python is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to manage assignments responsibly
- Self-motivated individuals who thrive in a remote work environment and can manage time and priorities independently
- Interest in pursuing a career in Pricing, Actuarial Science, or insurance analytics
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with analytical tools such as Excel, SQL, Snowflake, Power BI or similar programs
- Knowledge of how insurance rating factors are built, tested, and implemented
- Exposure to actuarial methodologies and regulatory frameworks
- Mentorship from experienced analysts across different levels of the Pricing team
- Insight into potential career paths within the Pricing team
- Experience translating analytical findings into clear business recommendations
