Role Description

This role involves managing business operations at Mural Health, focusing on cross-functional project management, operational efficiency, and international business operations.

  • Cross-Functional Project Management:
    • Lead and coordinate high-priority, cross-functional initiatives from scoping through execution.
    • Act as a trusted project lead for COO-sponsored initiatives.
    • Build project management standards and tooling that scale across the organization.
  • Process Mapping & Operational Efficiency:
    • Document, analyze, and redesign end-to-end business processes.
    • Partner with team leads to identify workflow breakdowns and design cleaner workflows.
    • Champion a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Breaking Down Silos:
    • Serve as a connective tissue across departments.
    • Create forums, rituals, and documentation practices for cross-functional teams.
  • Automation & Scaling:
    • Identify manual workflows and drive automation initiatives.
    • Partner with functions to evaluate and implement operational tooling.
    • Own the build-vs-buy evaluation for operational software.
  • Data Integrity, KPI Tracking & Dashboards:
    • Own the integrity of operational and business data.
    • Build and maintain executive and team-level dashboards.
    • Define, track, and report on company-wide KPIs.
  • Company Operating Rhythm:
    • Own and continuously improve the company's operating cadence.
    • Design agendas, pre-reads, and follow-up systems for leadership meetings.
    • Maintain the company-wide calendar of key milestones.
  • Vendor Management:
    • Manage relationships with key operational vendors.
    • Maintain a vendor registry and evaluate vendor performance.
    • Work closely with Legal and Finance to ensure vendor agreements are compliant.
  • International Business Operations:
    • Support the operational requirements of international expansion.
    • Partner with HR, Legal, and Finance to ensure scalability across geographies.
    • Serve as the operational point of contact for international team members.

Qualifications

  • 5–8 years of experience in business operations, strategy & operations, management consulting, or a Chief of Staff role.
  • Exceptional project management skills.
  • Strong analytical instincts; comfortable working in spreadsheets and BI tools.
  • Experience with automation tooling and a bias toward building scalable systems.
  • Proven ability to influence without authority.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and a builder's mindset.
  • Experience with international operations or cross-border compliance is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with the health tech or broader healthcare landscape is a plus.
  • Experience with OKR frameworks and facilitating company-wide planning cycles.
  • Background in process improvement methodologies.
  • Prior experience managing or coaching junior operations staff.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA, SOC 2, or other health tech compliance frameworks.
