Role Description

This role involves providing retirement plan expertise to participants as an Internal Retirement Specialist. Key responsibilities include:

  • Receiving inbound calls from participants and providing education and guidance regarding their retirement plan.
  • Initiating calls to targeted participants to discuss contribution levels and encourage appropriate increases in deferrals.
  • Completing account reviews to analyze individual risk assessment and advise on asset allocation options.
  • Calculating retirement projections for participants and providing counsel on results.
  • Providing education to participants on individual retirement distributions, transfers, or consolidation needs.
  • Building strategic relationships with field Retirement Specialists and Program Directors.
  • Acting as a consultant providing retirement plan expertise and recommendations.
  • Applying knowledge of industry trends and market movements to advise field Retirement Specialists and Program Directors.
  • Performing other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate studies in business, finance, communications, marketing, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a relationship/sales driven position.
  • Experience in a sales call center environment preferred, as well as financial services background.

Requirements

  • FINRA Series 6, 63 and 65 licenses, Life and Health license are required.
  • Associates must acquire the required federal and/or state licenses/registrations within the designated time period.
  • In-depth knowledge of insurance and financial products.
  • Knowledge of defined contribution plans preferred.
  • Strong time management/organization skills.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities with excellent communication skills.
