Role Description

This role provides full ownership of payroll operations across multiple regions, ensuring accurate and compliant processing for both U.S. and Canadian employees. You will manage end-to-end payroll activities, oversee third-party vendors, reconcile data, administer retirement plans, and support audits and statutory reporting. The position involves collaborating closely with HR, Accounting, and Benefits teams to resolve discrepancies, process employee changes, and maintain compliance with tax laws and regulations.   • Manage end-to-end payroll processing for U.S. and Canadian employees, including semi-monthly and off-cycle payrolls
  • Audit payroll data, validate pay setup, identify discrepancies, and implement corrections
  • Process employee changes such as terminations, pay rate adjustments, bonuses, and expense reimbursements
  • Oversee third-party payroll vendors and ensure data reconciliation and compliance
  • Administer 401(k), RRSP, and other retirement plan contributions, including calculation of employer matches
  • Support regulatory reporting, compliance audits, and employment verifications
  • Maintain accurate documentation, audit trails, and cross-functional alignment with HR, Benefits, and Accounting teams

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in global payroll operations
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. and Canadian payroll processes and statutory reporting requirements
  • Proficiency in Excel and payroll/HRIS systems (e.g., UKG, Paylocity, or similar preferred)
  • Exceptional attention to detail with an audit-oriented mindset
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage recurring deadlines
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Adaptable to evolving business needs and open to performing additional duties as required
