Job Description
Role Description
This role involves supporting the Human Resources department in various administrative tasks.
- Answers to inquiries for the HR department.
- Performs HRIS data entry and personnel file maintenance.
- Processes bi-weekly payroll.
- Assists employees and supervisors with basic interpretation of HR policies and procedures.
- Maintains confidential personnel files and personnel actions.
- Prepares letters and employment documentation.
- Assists with onboarding and orientation processes.
- Responds to reference checks and verifications of employment status.
- Assists with various HR projects.
- Assists with benefits administration.
- Processes attendance records and other documents (e.g. W-2 and tax forms).
- Checks payroll information for accuracy and ensures all relevant paperwork is in order.
- Processes all personnel changes in payroll (e.g. terminations, new hires).
- Oversees electronic payments and distribution of payroll checks.
- Updates data with salary or wage adjustments.
- Supports audits and reporting requirements.
- Processes other financial compensation or deductions (e.g. annual bonuses, severance pay, taxes, worker’s compensation).
- Administers benefit expenses, like insurance fees or paid leave.
- Prepares reports to upper management upon request.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
- Paycor experience preferred.
- 6 months experience or entry-level HR background or understanding preferred.
- Understanding of all Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
- Expertise with multi-state payroll process.
- Proficiency in timekeeping systems.
