Job Description
Anytime Mailbox is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst who thrives in a high-growth, recurring revenue marketplace environment. This role is not just about reporting numbers — it’s about understanding the economics of our subscription platform, protecting gross margin, and helping scale a two-sided marketplace of customers and operators.
You will own the monthly reporting cycle with a strong focus on Revenue, COGS) and unit economics. This is a high-visibility role requiring you to translate complex SaaS and marketplace metrics into clear insights for executive leadership.
Job Requirements
- Lead the month-end reporting package integrating GAAP financials with key SaaS and marketplace metrics (ARR, MRR, Churn, NRR, ARPU).
- Reconcile Revenue and Operator Fees to ensure accurate reporting.
- Maintain dashboards tracking subscription health, cohort behavior, and margin trends.
- Monitor subscription revenue recognition across plans, locations, and services.
- Analyze Operator Fees as Cost of Revenue to protect and scale Gross Margin.
- Track CAC, LTV, payback period, and contribution margin by acquisition channel and operator type.
- Build renewal cohort models to monitor retention, expansion, and churn drivers.
- Support budget vs. actual analysis with clear variance commentary.
- Lead rolling forecasts and support annual budgeting process.
- Draft the monthly and quarterly financial review packages board meetings.
- Provide adhoc reporting as business needs arise
- Location & Work Schedule:
- We are a remote-first organization with global team and a high-performance culture. For this role, we consider applicants located anywhere in the United States. While we offer flexibility, this role requires availability during Pacific Time (PST) business hours to support collaboration and reporting cycles.
- Qualifications:
- Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related quantitative field (MBA or CPA a plus).
- 3–5+ years in FP&A, preferably within SaaS, subscription-based, or marketplace business models.
- Technical Skills:
- Advanced Excel / Google Sheets modeling skills; experience with NetSuite or similar ERP; familiarity with Salesforce and FP&A platforms (Adaptive, Mosaic, Vena, etc.) preferred.
- Core Competencies
- Analytical Rigor: Identify root causes behind variances and margin movement.
- Communication: Clearly explain financial concepts (e.g., deferred revenue, operator fee impacts) to non-finance stakeholders.
- Scalability Mindset: Build processes and models that support 10x growth.
