Role Description

  • Conduct regular audits of client files, treatment plans, session notes, and supervision documentation to ensure compliance with clinical, payer, and regulatory standards
  • Monitor adherence to BACB, state, and insurance documentation requirements
  • Review behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and treatment plans for accuracy, completeness, and quality
  • Identify documentation gaps, compliance risks, and operational inefficiencies
  • Provide structured feedback to BCBAs and RBTs to improve documentation quality
  • Track authorizations, reauthorizations, and payer compliance standards
  • Develop and maintain QA checklists, auditing tools, and internal compliance systems
  • Prepare QA reports and present findings to leadership
  • Support corrective action plans and process improvement initiatives
  • Assist with maintaining HIPAA compliance and internal policy adherence

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, ABA, Healthcare Administration, or related field
  • BCBA certification preferred (or strong ABA clinical knowledge)
  • Minimum 2 years experience in an ABA setting
  • Strong understanding of ABA documentation standards and insurance requirements
  • Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems (e.g., CentralReach or similar platforms)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical ability
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Comfortable working U.S. hours
