Job Description

The Farm Insurance Account Manager is responsible for providing day-to-day service and support for farm and agribusiness clients. This role works closely with Producers to manage and service farm insurance accounts, helping build long-term client relationships while ensuring accurate, timely, and knowledgeable support for complex agricultural risks. Serve as the primary service contact for assigned farm and agribusiness accounts Provide ongoing support for policies including farm owners, agribusiness, livestock, equipment, auto, property, liability, and workers’ compensation Process policy endorsements, renewals, cancellations, audits, certificates, and billing inquiries Prepare renewal and marketing submissions; gather and verify underwriting information specific to agricultural operations Communicate directly with insurance carriers regarding coverage questions, changes, and underwriting requirements Assist Producers with proposals, coverage comparisons, and client communications Support claims reporting and follow-up as needed Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in the agency management system Identify coverage gaps or changes in exposure and communicate recommendations to the Producer Prioritize and manage workflows to ensure timely, accurate service Maintain strong working relationships with clients, carriers, Producers, and internal team members Stay informed on agricultural insurance products, coverages, legislation, and industry trends Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

Job Requirements

  • Working knowledge of farm and agribusiness insurance coverages and exposures
  • Strong understanding of property & casualty insurance principles
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional, client-focused approach with strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Prior experience in a farm, agribusiness, personal lines, or commercial lines insurance agency preferred
  • Experience servicing agricultural accounts strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with independent agency workflows and carrier portals
  • Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
  • Active State Property & Casualty Insurance License required (or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe)
