Job Description

• Develop and own the global AI industry solutions strategy for Energy • Lead hands-on AI solutioning with strategic energy customers • Serve as the primary AI technical authority for Energy • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and the Cloudera AI team to influence the AI product roadmap • Work with Enterprise AI Ecosystem partners to co-develop integrated energy solutions • Build and publish AI Accelerators (AMPs) and solution blueprints enabling rapid deployment of energy-specific AI use cases • Provide deep technical AI support during strategic sales cycles • Develop thought leadership including technical blogs, conference presentations, and solution demos positioning Cloudera as the enterprise AI platform of choice for energy • Represent Cloudera at key energy industry forums

Job Requirements

  • A minimum of 10+ years of experience in AI/ML, data & analytics, or enterprise software, with significant experience in oil & gas, utilities, power generation, renewables, or energy trading
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related quantitative field; Master's or MBA preferred
  • Deep hands-on fluency with AI/ML technologies
  • Strong Python proficiency and familiarity with the modern AI/ML stack (PyTorch, Spark MLlib, MLflow, Hugging Face, LangChain) and data engineering fundamentals (Spark, Kafka, Flink, NiFi, Iceberg, data lakehouse architectures)
  • Working knowledge of LLM application patterns including RAG, fine-tuning, agentic frameworks, vector databases, and model evaluation
  • Understanding of energy-specific data challenges
  • Executive presence with demonstrated ability to establish trusted advisor relationships with C-level executives while engaging at deep technical depth with data science and engineering teams
  • Excellent communicator and accomplished public speaker
  • Proven track record developing and executing go-to-market strategies for AI/data platform solutions in complex global enterprise sales environments.
  • Strong knowledge of the competitive landscape (Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud AI, Palantir, C3.ai, AspenTech, OSIsoft/AVEVA)
