Job Description

The Engineering team builds the software powering Veriff. We're on a mission to foster operational excellence and reliability through the adoption of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles. It's a dynamic and fast-paced environment filled with challenges and opportunities. Our Senior SRE role will be at the forefront of driving a reliability-first mindset across the organization. This will connect DevOps, product, and engineering teams to align efforts, resolve blockers, and promote collaboration. As a Senior SRE Coach, you'll not only advocate for best practices and operational excellence but also empower teams to take ownership of service reliability. You’ll help us protect honest people online by: Advocating for SRE principles, fostering a culture of reliability, observability, and operational excellence across teams. Collaborating with developers, product managers, and service teams to streamline processes and resolve blockers. Driving improvements in observability, including logs, traces, and metrics, ensuring proactive issue detection and resolution. Defining and implementing SLIs and SLOs to measure and maintain system reliability aligned with business objectives. Promoting the use of Error Budgets and leading post-incident reviews to foster a learning culture and continuous improvement. Assessing systems and processes to identify opportunities for scalability and reliability enhancements. Inspiring teams to take ownership of service reliability and driving alignment on shared goals.

Job Requirements

  • A strong understanding of SRE principles and a proven track record of implementing them effectively.
  • Expertise in observability concepts such as logs, traces, and metrics, with experience using tools like Datadog, New Relic, or Elastic Stack.
  • Solid coding skills in languages like Node.js, Python, or Go.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with a knack for aligning diverse teams.
  • A high level of self-organization, ownership, and accountability.
  • Experience with tools like Grafana, OpenTelemetry, and distributed tracing platforms.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes and cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
