Job Requirements
- Build agent systems that can reason, retrieve information, orchestrate tools, and present structured outputs to users.
- Customer-Facing Agentic Features
- A core focus of the role is developing agentic capabilities that improve SynMax’s customer-facing products.
- Building agentic interfaces for interacting with complex geospatial and market intelligence.
- Enabling users to query, explore, and understand SynMax data through natural language and agent-driven workflows.
- Supporting product teams in embedding agentic capabilities into the platform and user experience.
- Internal Agentic Platforms & Knowledge Systems
- Contributing to internal agentic platforms (e.g. knowledge agents, workflow assistants, internal support agents).
- Integrating agentic systems with tools such as Slack, Jira, GitHub, Notion, HubSpot, and internal databases.
- Supporting internal productivity and knowledge access without creating dependence or risk.
- Ensuring these systems are reliable, explainable, and aligned with how teams naturally work.
- Evaluation, Reliability & Responsible AI
- Designing evaluation approaches to track quality, reliability, and improvement over time.
- Implementing feedback loops, observation, and performance measurement for agent behaviour.
- Developing safeguards, guardrails, and auditing mechanisms to ensure responsible and safe usage.
- Ensuring systems enhance human decision-making rather than obscure or replace it.
- Support & Influence on No/Low-Code Agentic Tools
- Support and guide teams using tools such as N8N, Agent Builder, or similar platforms.
- Help define standards, integration patterns, and best practices for these workflows.
- Bridge the gap between no-code experimentation and production-grade engineering systems.
- Enable others across SynMax to experiment safely and productively with agentic AI.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Influence
- Product teams designing customer experiences and workflows.
- Data and platform engineers integrating AI with core infrastructure.
- Commercial and operations teams using internal agentic tools.
- Leadership and strategy teams shaping SynMax’s long-term use of AI.
- Experience & Background
- 5-7 experience as a software engineer, AI engineer, or applied machine learning developer.
- Hands-on experience building systems using large language models or intelligent automation.
- Experience scaling AI prototypes into production systems.
- Strong system architecture and distributed systems experience.
- Key Skills & Compentencies
- Strong programming capability.
- Experience with LLM frameworks, agent orchestration, or multi-agent system design.
- Strong system design skills, including API and service architecture.
- Experience building reliable, observable, and scalable production systems.
- Ability to communicate complex systems clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Desirable Experience
- Experience working with multi-agent or autonomous systems.
- Experience integrating with tools such as Slack, GitHub, Jira, Notion, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with evaluation frameworks and AI system quality measurement.
- Experience in data-intensive, geospatial, or analytics-focused environments.
