• Works as a consulting team member on client or internal assignments • Handles escalated coding related projects, new services, regulatory updates and overall coding quality • Provides coding education to various groups such as coders, billers, nurses, physicians, etc. • Participates in hospital revenue cycle assessments and process improvement engagements • Prepares appropriate written reports to include findings and recommendations • Conducts periodic status checks with the clients and project team to assess progress against plan • Oversees and provides training and mentoring to help team members increase their effectiveness
