• Own and evolve the company’s product safety and risk management framework, policies, working within Unilever’s governance models, guidance and partnership • Submit ingredients and formulas to Unilever safety team for evaluation and collaborate to understand assessments and feedback • Ensure alignment with applicable global regulations, standards, and industry best practices • Understand and assess exposure, dosing, vulnerable populations, and cumulative use considerations • Proactively identify safety and compliance risks associated with dietary ingredients, botanicals, cosmetic ingredients as well as formulations, packaging, and manufacturing • Collaborating closely within the QA/RA team, develop and implement risk mitigation plans, including corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) and proactive contaminant monitoring. • Lead product risk assessments across development, launch, and post-market phases • Partner with cross-functional teams to embed risk-based decision-making into product development and commercialization • Oversee post-market safety monitoring team, including adverse events and trend analysis • Serve as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders on product safety and risk considerations • Collaborate with Safety Experts, Formulation, Product Development, Regulatory Affairs, Quality Assurance, and Legal throughout the product lifecycle to support development, inspections, emerging trends and drive industry best practices • Translate complex risk and safety topics into clear, actionable guidance for cross-functional teams • Prepare and present risk assessments, safety updates, and metrics to cross-functional teams • Build and mentor a high-performing product safety and risk management team.
