Job Description
• Audit producers and processors;
• Compose business correspondence for supervisors, managers and professionals; this includes responding to Department of Insurance complaints and drafting specialized letters to our insureds;
• Examine letters from policyholders or agents, original insurance applications, and other company documents to determine if processes were managed accurately;
• Audit policy cancellation requests within company guidelines;
• Organize and work with detailed office records, maintaining files and/or logs of various projects;
• Audit processes for new business insurance policies, renewals, endorsements, and claims;
• Process, prepare, and submit business or government forms;
• Review and verify data, such as age, name, address on insurance applications and policies;
• Transcribe data to worksheets and enter data into computer for use in preparing documents and present audit results;
• Maintaining communication with Supervisor on progress of ongoing tasks and/or projects;
• Anticipate project needs, discern work priorities, and meet deadlines;
• Maintain that sensitive information regarding employees and the Company is kept confidential;
• Provide back up when requested for other business needs
• Complies with state and federal laws, Department of Insurance criteria, insurance carrier and Aspire General Insurance Services policies, procedures, and work rules;
• Prompt and regular attendance;
• Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Experience in the property and casualty insurance industry required;
- Experience in related field and responsibilities required;
- Strong administrative qualities in back end processing;
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel;
- High School diploma or GED required and college degree preferred;
- A clear understanding of insurance industry practices, standards and terminology;
- Ability to set priorities and perform multiple tasks;
- Ability to solve practical problems; deal with concrete variables in situations; and to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Familiar with Microsoft Office;
- Ability to use Internet and adapt to new software programs and changes in technology;
- Ability to negotiate;
- Ability to adapt to a paperless environment.
