Job Description

• Ensure efficient team operations including standups, retrospectives, and other ceremonies. • Hiring and team member performance evaluations/coaching. • Ensuring teams are enabled and empowered to deliver high-value software deployed in mission critical environments. • Produce clear diagrams, documentation, and implementation plans for our operational systems / processes. • Follow company architectural guidelines and industry best practices when developing operations frameworks / systems. • Ability to automation that can build and deliver software artifacts. • Ability to write Infrastructure as Code to support our environment. • Ability to develop monitors, alerts, and on-call solutions to ensure we are responsive to customer issues. • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including support and customer success. • Providing consistent and meaningful progress and performance updates to senior management and the Executive Leadership Team.

Job Requirements

U.S. Citizenship required.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as an individual contributor working in DevOps/Cloud Operations, preferably within SaaS or technology-driven organizations.
Minimum of 5 years leading Operations / Engineering teams.
Minimum of 2 years with direct management responsibilities (i.e. not just leading a team, but being an actual HR designated manager with experience using performance management techniques) for teams of 4 -6 members.
Experience writing Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform, Cloud Formation Templates, CDK, etc.
Experience with Relational Databases such as MySQL, Postgres, etc.
Alternative datastores such as OpenSearch, Redshift, etc. are a major plus.
Strong understanding of web development frameworks and architectures.
Strong understanding of containerization; Kubernetes a plus.
Strong understanding of Amazon Web Services; Amazon GovCloud a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Must pass FBI fingerprint and background check in multiple states.
